Sharp Electronics (Europe) are broadly split into a number of product areas; Consumer Electronics division, Solar division, Business Electronics division, Microelectronics division and a Home Appliances division. The Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances companies are the ones we are most familiar with in the UK. Supplying and manufacturing a range of products such as LCD TV's, Digital TV Recorder/Receivers, Blu-ray players, Audio systems, Microwaves and Refrigerators. In the Uk all Sharp products sold come with a warranty that their products will be free from defects in material and workmanship and Sharp will authorise either the repair or replacement for any defective product during the warranty period which is 12 months from the date on which you purchased the product. To make a warranty claim you need to notify the retailer where you purchased the product or directly to Sharp or its authorised service company. The warranty does not cover any deterioration due to normal wear and tear, use contrary to the user guide, rough handling/accidental damage, exposure to moisture or dampness or unauthorised opening or repair. Also note that many TV retailers will not repair or replace televisions for pixel failure where number or location of pixels failed is within the manufacturer's acceptable limits. When making any warranty claims you are requested to provide original proof of purchase, such as the receipt.
